Frequently asked questions

What content should I put into my report?

The Call for Entries PDF will give you all the information about what to put in your report depending on which type of category you are entering (Business 2 Business, Leisure, Supplier). You can download this by clicking here.

Who will judge my entry?

All entries are judged by our panel who have extensive experience within the events industry. The judging panel is changed every year and you can find out who is on the 2010 panel here.

What happens after my entry is submitted?

Once we have collected all of the entries we ask our judging panel to go on-line and download each report. A few weeks later all of the judges meet to discuss every category and decide which entries to nominate. Once this has been done we will then announce a shortlist of nominations. The results of these nominations will be revealed at the awards ceremony.

When and where is the awards ceremony taking place?

The Scottish Event Awards 2010 will be taking place on Thursday 9th September and you can find out more information here

Can I get feedback from my entry?

Unfortunately we do not give any feedback regarding individual entries.

I organise an annual event but I entered it into last years awards, can I enter it into this years?

Yes you can however you cannot submit the same report. Try to vary your report from last year and discuss about different clients/companies that you worked with. It would also be good if you could talk about how your event has improved/grown from last year. Remember our judging panel is changed every year so the people looking at your entry this year won't have any preconceptions.
